We got Monday off to a beautiful start … cooler temps, lower humidity and lots of blue sky. We put away the toys for Tuesday’s session and just use what we come with. Couple notes for Tuesday — while I always bring a collection of mats, if you want bring you own, this is one where it will get heavy use .. 3 of the 6 movements are on the ground. Also.. we’ve started programming a lot of sessions to work well on the parking lot as the early morning dew is obviously a little rough on the shoes. This session lends itself well to going barefoot — something I very much recommend for at least a session and a walk every week. You’ll have the option to do your session on either surface.
Tuesday, July 15th — Bodyweight HIIT
Format 45/15 — we’ll do 2 rounds for sure, with an optional 3rd round (which of course I”m sure everyone will do, but don’t feel bad if you want to opt out of it!)
Twist and Punch (a bit like our med ball Russian twists … but sans the accessories .. however, I will have light hand weights if you want to amp this up just a tad)
Alternating Reverse Lunge … amp up with a leg lift to the back before coming forward to a front kick
Plank Through Kicks — similar to the plan push throughs, but with a leg instead of an arm
